| What's New?
So this past year so far has been hectic. I was the Tet Pageant Director for 2007...voluntarily...NOT by choice! Originally I just wanted to help, then I become co-director, and before I could even bat an eye, I became director. How'd that happen?? Honestly, I really didn't know where to start or know what to expect...but I'm glad the whole process went smoothly with a few rough patches which will remain annonymous. I'm so happy to hear so many great remarks about the show and I'm glad it went better than I expected...and now I can finally sleep!

Also, I just recently got a job. FINALLY! After 6 months of no luck trying to search for a bio lab position, I took the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam past November, got my results back in January (passed! with no prior pharmacy expereince or class taken), and applied for a few positions and got a job at Target pharmacy within a month. That's another thing I can cross off my New Year's resolution list!
I like my job so far...super nice co-workers and 10% off a place I shop so often at anyways. Plus it's good expereince if I ever decide to go back to school =)
My official name badge. I just got my first paycheck last week as well...too bad I already lost it!! -_- More like misplaced....Hopefully my HR can do something about it. Look what a hectic week of Tet can do!
Oh yeah, did I mention that me and Michael decided to get a dog? His name is Chewy and he's a Shiz-Tsu. Chewy because he looks like Chewbacca...but cooincidently he likes to chew on stuff too haha.
He's a cutie huh? Looks like he has a lil mustache!
He's a handful. I didn't realize how much work having a puppy could be! Wake up early to walk it, feed it 3 times a day, walk it at night. Bathe it, play with it. I feel like I just had a baby. And now I'm working too?? Wow, I feel too grown up :P
Other updates include:
I got rid of my long hair. YUP. Barely been a month and I just couldn't hang with it anymore. I just never had the time to style it and I didn't even get to leave it down for Tet! The extensions were bit too much maintenence for me. So It's all gone. It hurt ALOT! I'm suppose to use acetone to remove it, but I didn't have any, so I kinda vigorously brushed it out...and I feel like I lost more hair that what I started with. It'll grow back I'm sure (I hope).
Lent just started past Wednesday. Instead of vowing to give up anything (which I've done in the past), I decided to make an effort to go to mass every Sunday during the Lent season. I've been out of the loop lately, but I'm already on a good start by going to Ash Wednesday Mass. So anyone in OC wanna be my church buddy?
And of course, Vietnamese New Year's just past (Tet). I haven't been able to spend it with family for the past few years. But I'm glad to have great friends to b my family away from home. Of course we were working on Tet Festival stuff. Good times.

| Ch-ch-ch-CHIA! People always seem to think I cut my hair, when all I did was leave it down. It's kinda funny at times, and I think it's because I usually tie my hair back, and it looks pretty different when I don't. Lately, I've been trying to grow it out. Just to see how it'd be to have long hair. Look at all my hard work... 
Ta-da! J/k j/k! It's not really mine. More than HALF of it's not mine. My real hair barely hits my shoulders. According to the package, it belonged to a European person. And how did it stick to my head? Lots and lots of glue from a glue gun (no joke!). So yes, my friend Kimbo gave me extensions. She was taking the class at a beauty school and I was asked to be her guinea pig. A guinea pig with long lucious locks! Oh yeah! It's already been a week, and so far, having long hair has been okae. I actually have to comb it (something I NEVER do), and washing it and drying it takes forever and a day. It's nice, but I somehow still manage to tie it back into a pony tail because I love to sleep in and I don't have time to style it (or more like I dunno what to do with it). The last time I had this much hair was way back in 5th grade. That's 14 years ago. Ever since then I've been chopping it, and it's ranged in lentgh from shoulder length to slightly shaved. I just like short hair I suppose. We'll see how "long" (no pun intended) I'll keep my hair. At least for Tet to wear with my ao dai for sure =) | | |
| consumer wh0re... ..is BACK! So I have this other blog called "i am a consumer wh0re" thru another blog site called BlogSpot. I've neglected it for months...mainly because well...no real reason why. Maybe partially because I got caught up with school, or maybe I the fact I didn't have any money to go buy all the stuff I wanted to try. Yes, it might be just that. I finally logged in recently, and realized there's some new upgrades. They're no longer in beta mode AND they are linked with google, so you can sign in with your google account. There are a few new features, I like, such as uploading pics directly from your computer (although I don't know how much space they give you yet). As well as a button to justify the text. It's a much cleaner interface in my opinion and I'm tempted to switch my personal blogs over there. No worries thoe! I love the xanga community too much to leave...so I'm here to stay, whether you like it or not! Anyways, check out my other blog (http://iamaconsumerwh0re.blogspot.com). It's about all the new and maybe not so new things out in the market that I try...because I love to try out new things. So perhaps maybe you'll want to try it too...or not. | | |
| Look what I caught... CRABS!! 
The seafood kind doofus. I went crabbing off the Newport Pier few nights ago. First time for me, and we got a decent catch. We used some fish filets (Bonita fish) and canned cat food. Yup, you read right. CAT FOOD. I think the scent attracts the crabs to the nets. The variety we used in the pic is Friskies...Seafood Delight flavor..yuMz! 
They have to be a certain size to take home. If I recall right, the legal size is 4 and 3/4 inches and up. The little small guys we have to throw back. I decided to play with some of the tiny ones before putting them back in the ocean. 
Now I can say I went out in the middle of the night with three different guys and caught crabs :P | | |
